Willemstad­– Curaçao Chamber of Commerce & Industry continues to support (potential) entrepreneurs by offering free webinar series. The first webinar “Bureau Intellectual Property” was presented by Mr. Ramses Petronia of Bureau Intellectual Property in Curacao on the 6th of July 2021. This webinar addressed the basics of Intellectual Property legislation and also the reasons why a startup or an entrepreneur should consider IP registration.

On the 13th and 15th of July, The Chamber offered a webinar entitled “Entrepreneurial Risk & Resilience” presented by Mr. Giovanni Melfor. This webinar focused on explaining the risks in the market, financial risk, legal risk and health risk in a structural way. Thereafter The Chamber presented “ASYCUDA System” given by Mr. Jesse Reite of the Curacao Customs on the 14th of July. In this webinar Curacao Customs was able to give information and points of attention about the ASYCUDA World platform.

The next session was held on the 22nd of July, about “Inspection, supervision and maintaining our environmental legislation and public order”. This was a webinar presented by Mr. Clifford de Lannoy (Health Inspection) and Mr. Ingiomar Balentien (Ministry of Economic Development) whom both elaborated on the services and the essential tasks to safeguard the rights of each citizen and to guarantee a certain standard as well as minimizing entrepreneurial risks.

Finally, The Chamber organized a digital session “Doing Business with St. Maarten” on July 28th, 2021. During this webinar participants had the opportunity to receive more information about the economic indicators and business opportunities in St. Maarten, presented by Ms. Ife Badejo ( The PWR Agency). In total The Chamber had more than 1.400 participants in the first half year of 20210, while more than 160 participants in July.
