Sao Paulo- May 27th, 2013 – Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao, Drs. Steven Martina together with the President of the Curacao Chamber of Commerce & Industry arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil leading the Curacao delegation consisting of representatives of the Curacao Tourist Board, Curacao Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Hilton Curacao, Ministry of Economic Development and Sta. Barbara Resort Curacao.

The aim of this economic mission was threefold. Firstly to promote Curaçao as the gateway for Brazilian companies to the world, sign an MOU with CIESP and attend the business lunch for the launch of the LAMPA ( Latin American Marketing Personality Award) Conference taking place in Curacao in September 2013.

After a year of working together with CIESP ( Centro de Industrias de Sao Paulo) Estado Sul, Curacao Chamber of Commerce & Industry signed an official MOU with CIESP to reinforce the relationship between the two institutes and their intentions to work together in sharing information, facilitating business opportunities, missions and other matters. The delegation was additionally able to visit different companies with the interest in doing business with Curacao.

The Ministry of Economic Development of Curacao also signed the establishment of a bilateral Chamber of Commerce Brazil- Curacao supported by the CIESP. All of these accomplishments will be reinforced with the incoming business mission from Brazil, during which business opportunities between companies n Brazil and Curacao will be matched during a match making session in Curacao.
