Willemstad- Meetings with potential investors and representatives of the Brazilian government a success for LAMPA 2013. On the 12th of September, Curaçao hosted the LAMPA 2013 awards (Latin American Marketing Personality Awards) which took place at Sta. B arbara Resort. This event, that consisted of many high level Brazilian participants, granted awards to Mrs. Luiza Helena Trajano of Magazine Luisa: with more than 730 shops in Brazil and more than 23.000 employees- Mrs. Chieko Aoki of Blue Tree Hotels: hotel brand with over 4.600 rooms in 18 cities in Brazil- and the highest award to Mr. José Roberto Maluf: President of magazines such as America Economía, Rolling Stone, and Caras Brazil.

The choice to organize this event in Curacao was a solid result of the visits of the public and private sector together in the Brazilian market in the past couple of years, giving contents to enhancing the commercial ties between the two countries.

Besides the Brazilian and other Latin American personalities, different local personalities were honored by the organizations of LAMPA and Global Council of Sales & Marketing (GCSM): Minister of Economic Development Mr. Stanley Palm, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Willem (Billy) Jonckheer, President of CTD Mr. Tarzeno Cirkens, Director of CTEX Mr. Anthony de Lima, Director of CTB Mr. Hugo Clarinda, and also Mr. Steven Martina for his role as ex-Minister of Economic Development.

Entrepreneurial Exchange Brazil- Curaçao
On Friday the 13th of September the delegation of the nominees and high level entrepreneurs had the opportunity to exchange with local entrepreneurs with interest to initiate business between Brazil and Curaçao in a matchmaking and network session in the auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During this event, the Ministers Stanley Palm (Economic Development) and Jose Jardim (Finance) gave a speech. The participants to this event had a positive experience at this entrepreneurial exchange; a number of important agreements have been made, including letters of intent that were signed to facilitate the initiation of commercial activities between Brazil and Curacao.

These events have been realized through constant efforts of Curaçao in the Brazilian market in recent years. By expanding our contacts and in close cooperation with various stakeholders, we increase the chances for Curaçao in the Brazilian market.

Finally, a large part of the group decided to stay until Sunday - and some even until Wednesday to rest and explore Curacao.

The partners and family members of the entrepreneurs were invited to different tours and opportunities to shop at different locations in Curaçao.
